The flowers are part of an art assignment for the lounges at the nursing wards in Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. Each photographic landscape is a special eye-catcher, each time highlighting two flowers, which have to do with the medical specialty of the nursing ward. Hospital pharmacist Reinier van Hest helped with the selection of those plants. Elspeth then grew the selected varieties herself in her Miracle Garden in Amsterdam’s Erasmus Park. The website is intended for everyone – including those who are in bed –  to be able to enjoy the Flowerfields.
